Great reception of the A Coroa wine by the professional sector of Madrid
On September 23, in the tasting room of the Madrid Association of Sommeliers, AMS, a vertical tasting was held in which all the ranges of A Coroa wines were exposed. The event, obviously directed towards the Madrid Association of Sommeliers, the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid and a representation of purchasing managers in the catering sector, was presented by Cefe Fernandez, Commercial Director of A Coroa, and Angel Sanchez Cuesta, winemaker and great druid of the winery.
In a relaxed event, in which a representation of the winery was pleasantly received and even feted, a tasting of different vintages of wine that complete the A Coroa range was held. There, experts valued the development of the wine over the time and, above all, confirmed the the great evolution in the bottle of the godello variety.
For this purpose, the following vintages were put on the table :
A Coroa 100% Godello: 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015
A Coroa Godello Lías: 2013, 2014 and 2015
A Coroa 200 Cestos: 2014 and 2015
A Coroa Laderia Vella – Grenache old vines –: 2012, 2013
The valuations, almost unanimous, were summarized in the typicality as a differential trait of the wines, result of working with vineyards in different soil types, as well as the noble aging of all varieties exposed, keeping a remarkable balance between alcohol and acidity, even in the 2006 vintage, selected for this purpose of evaluation.
