The Association of Sommeliers of Galicia, Gallaecia, decorated us last week as the best winery in Galicia within the Revera Vinum promotional days. A Coroa awarded as the best winery in Galicia
The event, held last week in Santiago de Compostela (more specifically on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 at the San Francisco monument hotel), served to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Gallaecia.
The Association of Sommeliers of Galicia wanted to celebrate it by giving special awards to various Galician wineries in different areas of their trajectory, with the best winery in Galicia prize going to A Coroa.According to Gallaecia, this award was given based on the long history of A Coroa, in the HONORS that the association itself awards Galician wines annually and for which our winery has been a reference for the last 25 years.
The award, collected by our commercial director Ceferino Fernández, fills us with great joy and satisfaction, probably because it comes from the best connoisseurs of wines, spirits and Galician wineries.
After receiving some of the most important awards in the sector overseas, becoming creditors of this very special award in our home, Galicia, has helped us continue growing strong and with the conviction of carrying on our special production model in A Coroa.

Gallaecia was born as a non-profit professional association in 1997, made up of a small group of professionals. After 25 years, it has reached more than 100 members, great professionals in the sector spread over the four Galician provinces. .
The Association focuses its efforts to training, information, dignity of the profession and the defense of products endorsed by a quality seal that guarantees their origin, hence its close relationship with the different Regulatory Councils.
In their bases, they define their mission as:
– To improve professionally, undertaking initiatives to organize information and training.
– Give credit to the profession before the public and ourselves, so as to enhance the self-esteem that is produced by the conviction of the great complexity that our work represents, when it is known and developed in depth. Achieving the knowledge to become a RECOGNIZED PROFESSIONAL.
– To develop a spirit of collaboration and solidarity in defense of our activity and our professional interests.
– To defend a professional ethics that commits us to NOT deceive the good faith of our customers with false D.O or low quality products, as well as encourage their responsible consumption.
– To support quality products that are in line with our code of ethics.

Revera Vinum, the great meeting of Galician wine in the capital of Compostela, has become in just two years one of the reference events in the sector in our community.
In this second edition and for two days, the event has managed to bring together the most successful Galician wines, with more than 500 references and a large number of participants.
Professional restaurateurs restaurant and wine sellers from all over the community have had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the best Galician productions and probe the most recent vintages in detail through a didactic framework made up of numerous guided tastings.
This edition of Revera Vinum will continue over the next month in 27 venues in the Galician capital through the initiative Galicia en Copas, where the participating establishments will hold various tasting sessions and pairing dinners.
