Great recognition at the Bacchus Awards for A Coroa 200 Cestos and A Coroa 100% Godello

The one that is considered one of the greatest national competitions in the sector, praises once again our two participating wines this edition.
A Coroa 200 Cestos 2018, launched on the market a few months ago, gets its first recognition in its international debut this year, being one of the most valued Godello wine by experts.
For its part, A Coroa 100% Godello 2019 achieves a valuable silver award, that ratifies the continuity of the excellent work started in the previous vintage, when it became one of the most valued wine by the sector.

Bacchus is Spain’s leading wine world event and it is the only international wine competition in Spain recognized by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). Bacchus Wine International Competition is open to wines from all producer countries world‐wide. Four days in which more than 1.500 wines and more than one hundred international and national tasters will enlighten Madrid as world capital of wine.
The organization of the International Bacchus Wine Competition in the current edition points out that «more than 80 tasters, including masters of wine, masters sommelier, sommeliers, purchasing managers, specialized critics and managers of the main wine institutions worldwide, endorse this award as one of the most essential guides for the consumer when it comes to recognizing the quality of the award-winning elaborations ».

Adega A Coroa is committed to Valdeorras land and to the vines to offer the best wines. This has led to the creation of “200 Cestos”, a very special wine since it is a 100% godello comming from a plot with special features, with vines over 75 years old planted in terraces.
The plot, for its location, orientation and height, obtained from the variety highlighting its potential godello elegance, complexity and power traditional aroma of this variety and looking for a rich wine with greater intensity of color, freshness and fruit background.

A Coroa Godello 2019 is elaborated with the most exclusive selection of grape from seven plots, owned by A Coroa and selected among the best in the region. A combination of good south-southwest facing land with a noticeable slope, a gradient approximately 15% and a special microclimate ideal for ripening.
A Coroa Godello 2019 stands out for its great intensity of aromas, savory, with a lingering aftertaste and great balance in the mouth.

In A Coroa we work every day to offer wines of the highest quality, as attested by the quality certificate of Galicia Calidade and Controlled Production – being the only winery worldwide producing Godello that is governed by a production control of its vineyards-.
We are convinced that the quality of a great wine starts in the vineyard. Therefore, and in accordance to our philosophy, all the grapes come solely from our vineyards of controlled production, which we supervise to the smallest detail when taking care of the vines and the fruit, being always environmentally friendly.
From A Coroa we want to show our firm conviction of participating in international contests of abundant competition and great exigency where the criterion and the autonomy of the critics are beyond doubt. In addition, the fact of competing with much selected wines is a fundamental factor for us when establishing new guidelines to improve, and thus, offer our customers the best of our work.
