2026 Harvest in Valdeorras: An Exceptional Vintage at A Coroa
The 2026 harvest at A Coroa combines exceptional grape quality, balance and outstanding production
The 2026 harvest in Valdeorras has brought an exceptional result to A Coroa, both in terms of grape quality and overall production. The vintage has been characterised by excellent grape health, balanced ripening and analytical parameters that provide a strong foundation for the wines now beginning their journey in the winery.
The final harvest reached 207,087 kg of Godello and 3,306 kg of Garnacha, with a particularly outstanding performance from Valdeaugas, our controlled-production vineyard and the origin of 200 Cestos.
With approximately 17,000 kg of grapes harvested from nearly three hectares, Valdeaugas has delivered a historic crop in both quantity and quality.
>>> Technical Data
The 2026 harvest at A Coroa began on 19 August, making it one of the earliest harvests in the winery’s history. Harvesting continued for 21 days, allowing each vineyard to be picked according to its individual stage of ripeness.
Continuous monitoring throughout the growing season made it possible to determine the optimal harvest window for each plot. Grapes were picked by hand and brought to the winery with great care, preserving their integrity and the distinctive characteristics of each vineyard.

The analytical results obtained during harvest were particularly encouraging. The musts showed total acidity of around 8 g/l expressed as tartaric acid and pH values between 3.2 and 3.3.
These figures provide an excellent balance between freshness, structure and ripeness, creating a strong basis for producing wines with precision, character and ageing potential.

The excellent sanitary condition of the grapes was another defining feature of the vintage, allowing the fruit to reach the winery in optimal condition.
>>> The Harvest Process
At A Coroa, harvesting is carried out according to the individual characteristics of each vineyard. Differences in altitude, orientation, soil and exposure mean that each plot follows its own ripening pattern.
This approach allows us to harvest progressively, selecting the optimum moment for each vineyard and preserving the expression of the Godello grape, the signature white variety of Valdeorras.
Among the vineyards harvested in 2026, Valdeaugas deserves particular attention.

Located at around 650 metres above sea level, Valdeaugas is the vineyard behind 200 Cestos, one of A Coroa’s most distinctive expressions of Godello.
In 2026, the vineyard produced approximately 17,000 kg of grapes from almost three hectares, an exceptional result that makes this one of the most significant harvests in the history of Valdeaugas.
What makes the result particularly noteworthy is the combination of historical production levels with outstanding grape quality. The vineyard has shown an excellent balance between yield, ripeness and freshness, confirming its potential as one of the key vineyards within the A Coroa project.
The grapes were harvested by hand and transported to the winery under carefully controlled conditions, allowing us to preserve their quality from vineyard to cellar.

>>> Quantitative Data
The final figures for the 2026 harvest at A Coroa are:
Godello: 207,087 kg
Garnacha: 3,306 kg
Total: 210,393 kg of grapes
These figures place the 2026 vintage among the most productive harvests in the recent history of the winery.
Particularly significant is the performance of Valdeaugas, with approximately 17,000 kg of grapes from nearly three hectares destined for the production of 200 Cestos.
The importance of these figures goes beyond volume. The excellent sanitary condition and quality of the grapes, together with the analytical balance achieved during ripening, make this a particularly promising vintage.

Based on production yields similar to previous vintages, the overall harvest could result in approximately 200,000 bottles, although the final number will depend on the specific yields obtained during the different winemaking processes.
>>> Quality Data
If one characteristic defines the 2026 harvest in Valdeorras, it is the balance between quality and production.
The first assessments of the musts reveal good concentration, clear varietal expression and an excellent relationship between ripeness and freshness. The analytical parameters recorded during harvest provide a solid foundation for wines with structure, precision and ageing potential.
The diversity of A Coroa’s vineyards will contribute different profiles to the final wines. Variations in altitude, orientation and soil allow each plot to express a distinctive interpretation of Godello and the landscape of Valdeorras.

The vineyard’s performance in 2026 has been remarkable. The approximately 17,000 kg harvested represent a historic production for the plot, while the quality of the grapes confirms its ability to deliver concentration, balance and freshness.
This combination reinforces A Coroa’s commitment to controlled production and precise vineyard management, where understanding each plot is essential to achieving the highest possible quality.
The coming months of winemaking and maturation will reveal the full potential of this exceptional fruit.

>>> A Philosophy of Production
At A Coroa, we believe that great wine begins in the vineyard.
Every harvest is the result of months of observation, vineyard work and careful decision-making. The 2026 vintage has rewarded this approach with an outstanding combination of quality, balance and production.
The exceptional performance of Valdeaugas further reinforces our commitment to controlled-production vineyards and to a detailed understanding of each plot.

Our aim is not simply to produce wine, but to preserve the identity of the vineyards and express the character of Valdeorras through Godello.
The 2026 harvest leaves A Coroa with an exceptional raw material and very high expectations for the wines that will emerge from the winery.
A new vintage has begun.
And all the signs point towards 2026 becoming a particularly important year for A Coroa and its wines from Valdeorras.
