Organised by the Spanish Union of Wine Tasters (Unión Española de Catadores), the competition is considered Spain’s most prestigious event dedicated exclusively to young wines.
In its 40th edition, hundreds of wines from across Spain were evaluated through blind tastings conducted by a panel of leading sommeliers, winemakers, wine journalists and industry experts.
Receiving a Baco Gold Medal places A Coroa Godello 2025 among the country’s top-rated young wines and confirms the exceptional quality of the latest vintage.

A Coroa Godello 2025 is produced from carefully selected grapes grown in eight low-yield vineyard plots within the Valdeorras Designation of Origin.
Different altitudes, soil types and vineyard exposures contribute to the wine’s complexity, freshness and distinctive mineral character. These unique vineyard conditions allow us to produce a Godello that faithfully reflects the identity of Valdeorras.
Harvesting is carried out by hand, plot by plot, at the optimal moment of ripeness. After cold maceration and separate fermentation of each vineyard parcel, the final blend is assembled to showcase the pure expression of the Godello grape variety.
In the glass, A Coroa Godello 2025 displays a bright straw-yellow colour with green highlights. The nose reveals fresh citrus aromas, ripe stone fruit, delicate floral notes and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate, it combines freshness, balance and texture with a long, elegant finish.
