The prestigious Bacchus awards, the great Spanish reference in the wine sector, honors us with a Gold Medal for A Coroa Godello 2021.
This vintage, which is beating all sales expectations in the HORECA channel, has inaugurated its participation in international competitions with an excellent rating that A Coroa celebrates with great joy. Not surprisingly, this recognition justifies the expectations generated for our wine, and shows the firm commitment to quality that A Coroa has been coining since its foundation.
The importance of the Bacchus awards for A Coroa is endorsed by the international prestige of the event and the high professionalism of the members of the tasting panels. A large team from various disciplines related to the sector (Master of Wine, Master of Sommelier, specialized press, producers…) and from an extensive number of countries where the wine culture shines out with its own light.
In the coming days, thus, our bottles will be adorned with a new seal – adding to Galicia Calidade, Controlled Production, and DO Valdeorras-, to present you a wine with the utmost honesty and quality, a distinguishing mark of our winery.

Bacchus is Spain’s leading wine world event and it is the only international wine competition in Spain recognized by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). Bacchus Wine International Competition is open to wines from all producer countries worldwide. Four days in which more than 1.500 wines and more than one hundred international and national tasters will enlighten Madrid as world capital of wine.
The organization of the International Bacchus Wine Competition in the current edition points out that «More than a hundred names that combine diverse backgrounds with professionalism and experience. Specialist journalists, winemakers, Masters of Wine, Masters of Sommelier, a truly wonderful selection to assess and recognise the quality of wines on offer at Bacchus. A Coroa Godello 2021 is elaborated with the most exclusive selection of grape from six plots, owned by A Coroa and selected among the best in the region. A combination of good south-southwest facing land with a noticeable slope, a gradient approximately 15% and a special microclimate ideal for ripening.
A Coroa Godello 2021 stands out for its great intensity of aromas, savory, with a lingering aftertaste and great balance in the mouth.

In A Coroa we work every day to offer wines of the highest quality, as attested by the quality certificate of Galicia Calidade and Controlled Production – being the only winery worldwide producing Godello that is governed by a production control of its vineyards-.
We are convinced that the quality of a great wine starts in the vineyard. Therefore, and in accordance to our philosophy, all the grapes come solely from vineyards of controlled production, which we supervise to the smallest detail while taking care of the vines and the fruit, being always respectful with the environment.
