This year, wines made from the Godello variety took center stage, with special mentions for Godello A Coroa and Godello A Coroa Lías, both awarded gold medals. Additionally, the wines Godello 200 Cestos and Ladeira Vella were distinguished with the coveted Grand Gold medals, solidifying their place among the best wines in the region.

At A Coroa, located in the heart of the Valdeorras Denomination of Origin, we have once again been recognized for our mastery in crafting wines from the Godello variety. Godello A Coroa, a wine that combines freshness and complexity, has been awarded a gold medal thanks to its perfect balance between acidity and freshness, with citrus and mineral notes that make it a benchmark in the region.
On the other hand, Godello A Coroa Lías, a more complex wine that remains in contact with its fine lees for several months, has also been awarded a gold medal. This wine stands out for its silky texture, aromatic depth, and ability to age gracefully, offering nuances of ripe fruit, toasted bread, and a saline touch that make it truly unique.

Godello A Coroa 200 Cestos was one of the most outstanding wines of this edition, receiving a Grand Gold medal. This wine, sourced from century-old vineyards located on the slopes of the Bibei River at 650 meters above sea level, is an example of the purity and mineral expression that Godello can achieve in this area. With fermentation and aging in barrels, this wine offers aromatic complexity and a structured palate, making it our jewel.
In the red wine category, Grenache Ladeira Vella took home the highest honor of the competition. This limited production of 1,300 bottles, made from centennial Garnacha Tintorera vineyards, has once again been included in the Olympus of Galician wines.
