The 100% Godello A Coroa 2016 is already on the market

Due to the successful sales of the 2015 harvest, the 2016 Godello A Coroa is on the market one month ahead of the expected launching. Of an exceptional quality, this new vintage 2016 arrives endorsed with a Gold Medal awarded by the most significant International Wine Competition in Germany.

This year, the new harvest 100% Godello A Coroa is already available for all costumers, also at the A Coroa Online Store.

As usual, this is the first Godello A Coroa on the market out of the three ranges that our winery elaborates every year, and which has been rated as excellent. This qualification becomes more relevant if we take into account the criteria used by Mundus Vini, the most significant International Wine Competition in Germany, which has awarded the Godello A Coroa with its Gold prize.

As for the production quantity of the 2016 vintage, this is of 78,000 bottles, an amount very similar to previous years and in accordance with the production policy of the winery. This is due to two basic factors: a controlled production – unique in the region of Valdeorras- and an integrated production. Both processes are the foundation of the firm commitment to a modern production model, characterized to be sustainable and environmentally friendly, granted by the quality seal of Galicia Calidade.

A Coroa Godello presents a bright straw color with intense green hues, reminiscent of a combination of green leafy flowers and plants of a daring light yellow.

With great frankness of aromas and excellent intensity, it subtly shows spicy notes that melt in aromas of ripe fruits such as peach, pear, apple and wild herbs. With a slight oxygenation, the nuances of pineapple and mango appear to provide an excellent and elegant complexity.

The taste in mouth is powerful, denoting the character of a great Godello, fresh and structured. It is a wine of great vividness with a magnificent acidity, a remarkable volume and long haul in mouth. It has a persistent finish, with a marked mineral touch and delicate bitterness characteristic of the terroir. All this makes a long, subtle and elegant aftertaste.

The 2016 A Coroa harvest is subjected to a rigorous system of elaboration to achieve its richness and long life in the bottle.
