A short harvest in quantity, but outstanding in quality:\u00a0147,500 kg of Godello and 1,914 kg of Garnacha<\/span><\/h4>\n

A winter and spring with abundant rainfall allowed for healthy budbreak and vigorous growth. Although this initial phase was later than in 2024, flowering occurred at similar times, in late May.<\/span> harvest2025<\/span><\/code><\/p>\n

The low temperatures and rains during spring reduced fruit set, decreasing production by 5% compared to the previous year. Subsequently, the summer, with temperatures close to 40\u00b0C (104\u00b0F), caused water stress and reduced cluster size.<\/span><\/p>\n

Green harvesting was essential to balance the vines, improve ventilation, and prevent disease. This management, combined with a lower grape load per vine and the use of cover crops, allowed for an early and balanced harvest.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/figcaption>The fire on August 15 in Larouco, which ravaged more than 30,000 hectares, affected leaves and clusters but did not compromise the quality of the grapes. However, coupled with the water stress and poor fruit set, it led to a crop reduction of more than 10%.<\/span><\/figure>\n

Following favorable lab analyses at the end of August, the harvest took place from September 4 to 23. The musts showed a perfect balance between aromas, sugars, and acidity, a result of the excellent work in the vineyard.<\/span><\/p>\n

In conclusion, the 2025 harvest offers a medium-low production but of exceptional quality, with wines of great finesse and expression.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, we present the release schedule for the 2025 vintage as follows: A Coroa Godello 2025<\/strong>, which already reveals extraordinary notes, will be available in February 2026. <\/span>‘200 Cestos’ 2025<\/strong> will follow its usual cycle, arriving in November 2026. For its part,\u00a0Ladeira Vella 2025<\/strong>, from old centenarian Garnacha vines, will complete its standard 24-month aging period, guaranteeing the structured and complex profile that defines this emblematic red.<\/span><\/p>\n

The season began with good water reserves and a rainy spring but turned into an extremely dry summer with temperatures above 40\u00b0C (104\u00b0F). This contrast caused water stress that reduced production, a situation that was aggravated by forest fires.<\/span><\/p>\n

Faced with these challenges, vineyard management was decisive. Green pruning allowed us to balance the plants and reduce stress, while maintaining the cover crop protected the soil from erosion and enriched its microbiota. These practices, combined with a wet spring, required greater phytosanitary attention but culminated in grapes with optimal health parameters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, in rainy springs like the last one, the good management of the soil’s green cover has been a fundamental factor in avoiding compaction, waterlogging, and excessive vigor in our vines.<\/span><\/figure>\n

These efforts have resulted in balanced and healthy vineyards.<\/span><\/p>\n

We also cannot forget a primordial phase for obtaining great wines: the manual harvest in 15 kg boxes, which ensured the grapes arrived intact at the winery, where careful processing and immediate refrigeration preserved their quality. The result is exceptional musts, clean and full of nuance, which promise wines of notable refinement and exquisite delicacy.<\/span><\/p>\n
