International Wine Challenge 2019 awards its Gold Medal to A Coroa 200 Cestos<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The 2017 vintage of this 100% Godello gets a score of 96 points out of 100, the highest of the contest for the Spanish white wines<\/span><\/h4>\n

The scores achieved at the International Wine Challenge, a reference competition of the international wine industry, ratify once again the great quality of the 2017 vintage in A Coroa.<\/span><\/p>\n

After achieving the silver medal in the 2018 edition of the contest with a score of 94 out of 100, this time it has been possible to overcome the barrier of 95 points that makes the Godello A Coroa 200 Cestos the winner of the highest award given by the contest.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the aforementioned score is the highest for the Spanish white wines, only shared with another Galician wine.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Contest<\/span><\/h4>\n

The IWC<\/a> is accepted as the world\u2019s finest and most meticulously judged wine competition which assesses every wine blind and judges each for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the rigorous judging processes, each medal-winning wine is tasted on three separate occasions by at least 12 different judges and awards include medals and Commended and Great Value awards.<\/span><\/p>\n

The International Wine Challenge (IWC) owned by William Reed Business Media is now in its 36th year<\/span><\/p>\n

Adega A Coroa is committed to Valdeorras land and to the vines to offer the best wines. This has led to the creation of 200 Cestos, a very special wine since it is a 100% Godello coming from a plot with special features, with vines over 75 years old planted in terraces.<\/span><\/p>\n

The plot, for its location, orientation and height, obtained from the variety highlighting its potential godello elegance, complexity and power traditional aroma of this variety and looking for a rich wine with greater intensity of color, freshness and fruit background.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our philosophy is based on the fact that the quality of a great wine is made in the vineyard; therefore, and faithful to this culture of work, all the grapes come solely from our vineyards of Integrated Production, in which we have a special care of the vines and the fruit, always with respect for the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
