Two new medals for our wine 100% Godello A Coroa 2016<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The two most important competitions of the international wine sector prize our wine, being now five awards for a very special harvest of our Godello Valdeorras<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Decanter World Wine Awards, considered by many the most prestigious and rigorous wine competition in the world, has awarded us with its 2017 bronze prize. In an event in which our wine 100% Godello A Coroa has competed with wines from five different continents\u00a0 – with more complex elaborations and much higher prices – , our most popular range has been able to show firmly the character of our godellos.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is not trivial to us the major importance of this competition held in London, which stands out for its seriousness and professionalism. In this edition, more than 17,200 samples – an 8% more than in 2016 – have been tasted by 219 international experts, including 65 ‘Masters of Wine’ and 20 ‘Masters Sommelier’.<\/span><\/p>\n

For its part, the International Wine Challenge, the other great reference of big competitions of the wine sector, has awarded us with its silver medal in the 34th edition of the contest.<\/span><\/p>\n

The International Wine Challenge (IWC) has been, throughout history, the English competition of greater reputation and which prestigious recognitions are named like the ‘Oscars’ of the wine. In the event,\u00a0 British and international experts -many of them Masters of Wine- , sample wines from all over the world in a blind-tasting and rate them for the fidelity to their style and their region.<\/span><\/p>\n

From A Coroa we want to show our firm conviction of participating in international contests of abundant competition and great exigency, where the criterion and the autonomy of the critics are beyond doubt. In addition, the fact of competing with\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 much selected wines is a fundamental factor for us when establishing new guidelines to improve, and thus, offer our customers the best of our work.<\/span><\/p>\n

So far, and with these new two awards, our wine 100% Godello A Coroa 2016 is already in the following list of winners:<\/span><\/p>\n

– Gold Medal at Mundus Vini (Germany)<\/span><\/p>\n

– Gold Bacchus awarded by the Spanish Union of Tasters (Spain)<\/span><\/p>\n

– Silver Medal at International Wine Challenge (UK)<\/span><\/p>\n

– Silver Mezquita at Mezquita de C\u00f3rdoba Awards (Spain)<\/span><\/p>\n

– Bronze Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards (UK)<\/span><\/p>\n

A Coroa Godello presents a bright straw color with intense green hues, reminiscent of a combination of green leafy flowers and plants of a daring light yellow.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

With great frankness of aromas and excellent intensity, it subtly shows spicy notes that melt in aromas of ripe fruits such as peach, pear, apple and wild herbs. With a slight oxygenation, the nuances of pineapple and mango appear to provide an excellent and elegant complexity.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The taste in mouth is powerful, denoting the character of a great Godello, fresh and structured. It is a wine of great vividness with a magnificent acidity, a remarkable volume and long haul in mouth. It has a persistent finish, with a marked mineral touch and delicate bitterness characteristic of the terroir. All this makes a long, subtle and elegant aftertaste.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The 2016 A Coroa harvest is subjected to a rigorous system of elaboration to achieve its richness and long life in the bottle.<\/span><\/p>\n
